Come One, Come All...A Circus First Birthday

Since last weekend, for Gabriel's actual birthday (May 2) we were in DC for my cousin's wedding, this Saturday was all about him. We celebrated his first birthday at a local park (a park where I myself celebrated many childhood birthdays), and our theme was...CIRCUS!! Maybe not too original, but we had fun with it.

Our little goody bags for the kids. Vintage popcorn bags filled with some small trinkets (including a bag of animal crackers), topped with the yellow tissue paper to make it look like popcorn.
Forgot to take a picture of this at the party. A word art collage I made to remember some of Gabriel's favorite things and fun facts at Age 1. We had it set up on the gift table.
And a 1st birthday would not be complete without a smash cake!
This is definitely one of my favorite pictures from the afternoon. Gabriel was all about the cake and absolutely loved all of the attention. We definitely have a little sweet tooth monster on our hands. Don't worry, we are very good about brushing teeth

Thank you again to all of our family and friends who came out to celebrate Gabriel's 1st Birthday. I am always in awe as to how much love and support my husband and I are surrounded with, and now our son. Our family is truly blessed and it is because you guys make us feel so special.
